Geneva, July 09 (QNA) – The State of Qatar, represented by the National Cyber Security Agency, has received the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 Award for the second consecutive year in the ALC5 – Building Confidence and Security in the Use of Information and Communication Technologies category.
The award was received by Director General of the National Cyber Security Agency Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mutawa Al Hammadi during the official award ceremony held in Geneva.
This achievement was attained following a competitive selection process involving hundreds of projects from countries around the world. The nominated projects underwent a comprehensive evaluation process, including public voting, expert assessment, and review by specialized committees, before the National Cybersecurity Training Program was selected as the winning project.
The program was recognized for its significant contribution to achieving the objectives of the World Summit on the Information Society and supporting the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
