Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that its air defense forces intercepted 216 Ukrainian drones during a massive overnight operation. According to the ministry, 66 of these drones were shot down over the Krasnodar region, while another 59 were destroyed over the Black Sea.
In Krasnodar’s port city of Novorossiysk, the attack injured three people and ignited a fire at an oil depot. The city has since declared a state of emergency, according to Mayor Andrey Kravchenko.
On the Ukrainian side, authorities said at least four people were killed and 27 others wounded after a separate Russian drone and missile strike on Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that around 430 drones and 18 missiles were used in the strike.
