Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday due to a viral fever. Sinha, the father of actor Sonakshi Sinha, was admitted less than a week after his daughter’s wedding festivities.
According to the Hindustan Times, Sinha’s son, Luv Sinha, clarified that there was no surgery involved. Shatrughan Sinha is undergoing annual medical tests while being treated for the fever. Luv thanked well-wishers for their support and condemned the spread of fake news about his father’s condition, urging everyone to avoid “unverified news.”
Shatrughan Sinha, a member of the All India Trinamool Congress party, is also a renowned actor known for films like Mere Apnay and Kalicharan. He recently won a seat in the Indian parliament, representing the Asansol constituency.
His hospitalization comes just five days after Sonakshi Sinha’s marriage to Zaheer Iqbal.
