Türkiye will host the 10th Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Georgia Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Istanbul on Monday, bringing together senior diplomats from the three South Caucasus countries to review cooperation and set priorities for future engagement.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources on Sunday, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will chair the meeting, attended by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili.
The ministers are expected to assess current cooperation and identify new areas for collaboration, focusing on regional developments, foreign policy coordination, transport connectivity, energy security, trade, and economic integration, as well as strengthening transit networks.
Fidan is expected to underline the strategic importance of the South Caucasus amid geopolitical uncertainty and security challenges, describing the trilateral mechanism as a practical platform supporting regional stability and prosperity.
He is also expected to highlight Türkiye’s relations with Azerbaijan and Georgia and their role in advancing regional stability and economic integration.
Special attention will be given to the Middle Corridor, including expanding logistics capacity and improving transport links such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway. Energy cooperation and infrastructure projects will also feature in discussions.
Fidan is expected to reiterate the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus, noting that the Russia-Ukraine war continues to pose risks to the wider region.
