MOSCOW, June 25 – Two people were killed and four others injured in drone strikes carried out by Ukrainian forces on Russia’s Bryansk region, acting governor Yegor Kovalchuk said Thursday.
He said a kamikaze drone hit a civilian vehicle, killing a 23-year-old driver and a 15-year-old girl.
Kovalchuk wrote on social media that several others were injured in separate incidents across the region.
A man injured in the attack received on-site medical assistance, while another man and a woman were taken to hospital.
He added that another drone strike in Pogar targeted a car, injuring a man who was later admitted to hospital.
Local emergency services were deployed to provide assistance and assess damage in the affected areas.
Authorities said the situation remains under monitoring as security forces continue investigations.
The incident comes amid continued cross-border drone strikes between Russia and Ukraine, with civilian infrastructure and vehicles increasingly affected in recent weeks.
