New York, March 20 (QNA) – HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres extended his thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for his mediation efforts between the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In a statement, Guterres said that His Highness’s hosting of a trilateral meeting in Doha with HE President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame and HE President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Felix Tshisekedi contributed to fostering trust between the two countries and led to a mutual commitment to ensuring a secure and stable future in the region.
