UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations has warned that rising climate challenges are increasing pressure on global food systems, threatening millions of vulnerable people and creating new humanitarian concerns.
UN officials said extreme weather events, including droughts, floods and rising temperatures, are affecting agricultural production in several regions and making food supplies more uncertain.
The organization stressed the need for stronger international cooperation, sustainable farming practices and greater investment in climate adaptation measures to protect communities facing growing risks.
The UN highlighted that developing countries remain among the most affected due to limited resources to respond to climate-related challenges. It called on governments, international organizations and partners to work together to strengthen food security and support vulnerable populations.
Experts said climate-related disruptions could continue to influence food prices, livelihoods and economic stability if urgent measures are not taken.
The UN reiterated that addressing climate change requires collective global action and long-term commitments to ensure a safer and more sustainable future.
