BEIJING, May 20 — Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday, with both sides agreeing to extend the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation. Xi noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the China-Russia strategic partnership and the 25th anniversary of the treaty. Both leaders exchanged views on international and regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East, and witnessed the signing of multiple cooperation documents covering trade, education, science, and technology. They reaffirmed that the treaty remains a cornerstone of bilateral relations and pledged to deepen comprehensive strategic partnership for long-term stability and mutual development.
