MIRPUR (AJK): Sept. 29; Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for Tax Year 2025-26 to November 30, 2026, it was officially said
Quoting an official notification issued by the AJK Inland Revenue Department on Monday – September 28, Commissioner Inland Revenue Department Of AJK (South) Syed Anser Ali, when contacted, told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here Tuesday that the deadline for filing income tax returns has been extended to November 30.
The IRD Commissioner said the extension had been granted under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, and the relevant provisions of the AJK Central Board of Revenue Act, 2020.
Following the government decision, taxpayers will now have until November 30, 2026, to file their income tax returns for Tax Year 2025-26, he added.
