Doha, December 26 (QNA) – The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israel’s Minister of National Security, conducted under the protection of Israeli occupation authorities.
In a statement issued Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that such actions are an affront not only to Palestinians but to over two billion Muslims worldwide. The ministry underscored that repeated attempts to undermine the religious and historical significance of Al-Aqsa Mosque are unacceptable.
The statement also cautioned against the Israeli government’s ongoing escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, warning that these policies risk widening the cycle of violence in the region and undermining efforts toward achieving a two-state solution and a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace.
Reaffirming Qatar’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, the ministry reiterated the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to practice their religious rituals freely and establish an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
