MIRPUR (AJK): July 23 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML N) President and former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will arrive in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday, July 24, to address a major election rally as part of the party’s campaign for the AJK General Elections 2026, scheduled to begin on July 27.
According to authoritative party sources, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, Engineer Amir Muqam, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Bilal Azhar Kayani and other senior party leaders will accompany Nawaz Sharif during the visit.
The public gathering will be held at Quaid e Azam International Cricket Stadium, where the PML N leadership will seek support for the party’s candidate, Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, contesting from Mirpur City LA III constituency.
Party workers and supporters have finalized extensive preparations to welcome Nawaz Sharif and the accompanying leaders. A large turnout is expected at the rally, which is considered a key event in the party’s election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Mirpur city has been decorated with PML N flags, the national flags of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, along with banners displaying welcome messages for the visiting leadership.
The rally is expected to mark the formal launch of the party’s campaign in the district ahead of the phased AJK elections, with local leaders expressing confidence that the event will attract significant public participation.
